Cafe Review: The Workbench Bistro

16:32:00

The workbench bistro was born out of a vision to create honest, practical and delicious food and drinks. from a small ice cream cafe located in the heartland of singapore, they have grown to a 50-seater bistro offering a diverse menu that includes everything from burgers, pasta and salted egg wings to ice cream, s'moreffles and craft beers. They aren’t afraid to make sure the diners are 100% satisfied when they leave the bistro in ang mo kio.

They started the workbench bistro as a creation of vision, and today that vision is brought to life by their delicious menu offerings and relaxed ambience. by utilizing artisan skills, they create enjoyable foods that will satisfy your taste buds.

Crab Meat Linguine - $15.90

Linguine with lumpy jumbo crab meat in white wine and light tomato cream sauce. The linguine texture was al-dente. The sauce was creamy, tangy sweet and the crab meat was fresh and meaty.

Aglio Olio with Prawn - $13.90

Linguine tossed with olive oil, garlic, fresh chili and fresh prawn. You can choose to go with chicken meat or smoked duck too. I find that the pasta was a slightly dry and plain. But overall taste was pretty alright!

Twb Purple Sweet Potato Waffle - $8.50

Sweet potato waffle with salted camarel Ife cream. The ice cream wasn't that fantastic as we expected. The waffles was even worst, it was totally tasteless and failed!! Don't ever try it!!

Food: 1.5/5
Ambiance: 1/5
Service: 1.5/5

My Verdict:
The food over there was good but not for their dessert. Maybe their normal waffle is good but their sweet potato is definitely a NO. The amtosphere there was noisy and crowed. Not a suitable place to chill and stay for long.
